Bad Boys Love Great Art Too

Have you been binge-watching like the rest of us? Getting caught up on all those movies you’ve been meaning to watch? Rewatching your favorite shows? Catching any details you missed the last time?

A member of our team, a Breaking Bad fan, recently watched “El Camino,” the Breaking Bad movie, and noticed a detail that has special meaning to all of us here at Sorrel Sky. A while back the gallery was contacted by the Breaking Bad production crew. The set designers who had been scouting in the Santa Fe area had visited the gallery and fell in love with the works of one of our longtime artists, Stephen Day. Our team worked with their production team and soon an acquisition was made … “Over Santa Fe Hill.” And here it is, in Todd’s apartment. Proof that even bad boys love great art!

Check out these other fantastic pieces by Stephen … imagine one in your own apartment, home or office! Stephen will be teaching a workshop at our Santa Fe location this fall. Attend yourself or give as a gift. “Landscape Painting Essentials” will be held from September 11-13, 2020. With daily demonstrations focusing on values, drawing, edges and color, individual time will be spent with each student. Stephen is a firm believer that painting is learned by doing, so come ready to paint!
