From Jewelry Bags to Masks

As our Durango and Santa Fe galleries move towards reopening their doors in accordance with local and state guidelines, masks have become not just encouraged but required. Recognizing the need to keep both gallery teams and all our valued clients safe, Linda Nighthorse Campbell got busy.

In past years Linda made the jewelry bags for her husband, Northern Cheyenne jewelry artist Ben Nighthorse. His one-of-a-kind, collectible pieces are found exclusively at Sorrel Sky Gallery. With the need for each employee to have a well-made mask for each day spent at the gallery and for day-to-day interactions, Linda shifted her sewing skills to mask making. Her daughter Shanan Campbell, owner of Sorrel Sky Gallery, observed, “My mom has been making masks like crazy.” As the sun streams onto her workbench, with a wide variety of colors and designs, she’s filling a very real need. For that, all of us here at Sorrel Sky say, “THANK YOU, LINDA!”
