Master jeweler offers instruction in crafting a ring during intensive weekend in Santa Fe
SANTA FE, N.M.: January 27, 21016; Sorrel Sky Gallery will host a ring making workshop with master jeweler Ray Tracey on March 5 and 6, 2016 at its downtown Santa Fe gallery. The 2-day workshop is designed for all levels of experience and costs $600 with all materials and tools included.
As one of today’s most recognized contemporary Navajo jewelers due to his rootedness in the Navajo jewelry tradition while firmly embracing contemporary designs and techniques, Tracey is dedicated to passing on this legacy to a new generation of students.
Featured frequently in premiere western art publications such as in Cowboys & Indians magazine, Tracey’s jewelry has been included in major exhibitions at the Heard Museum, Autry Museum, Eiteljorg Museum and in Germany and Japan. He has won Best of Show at Santa Fe Indian Market and Gallop Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial.
